Is it a bug? Sometimes it activates whilst listening to music and turns the volume down. This is especially annoying when jogging as I have to unlock the phone to press OK then turn the volume back up again.
Cheers
This is a safety feature in the phone that can be triggered by high volume. What you can do to avoid it is to try another music player.
Or another phone... Nice answer.
In any case, if it's triggered by high volume, why does it randomly happen once every 2 weeks or so? Surely one warning ever is enough.
Has Sony considered that many people use the headphone jack to play music in their cars. I am one of those people. And when the warning comes on, and automatically lowers the volume without my consent, it takes my eyes off the road and creates a distraction. Isn't this more dangerous then endangering my hearing.
I have tried different music players, and they have all come up with the warning, and automatically lower the volume. So, no. Another music player is not an option.
I could live with the lower volume from my phone, but it means increasing the volume on the car stereo, which will damage the stereo (and have a detrimental effect on the sound quality). So that is also not an option.
How about Sony listens to the crowd, and gives us the option of removing the warning. Perhaps have another option in the sound setting for car stereo or external speaker, which will disable the warning. It's obvious by the number of people complaining that this should be looked at.
