Volume problem

My Xperia T's volume is pretty low compared my friend's Xperia T. Initially I thought it was a software issue but when I updated to JB 4.3 from JB 4.1 it still didn't change. I just want to know how to fix this. Because even when the volume's at its maximum it's still not that loud. Help

It sounds strange that you would get different volume from two Xperia T. Are you sure you had the same settings for equalizer and was this with the phones speaker or a headset?
