Hi there,
I bought a Sony Xperia SP mobile phone. I seem to be having problem with the external side volume control button. I can reduce the volume BUT I can't increase the volume! The only way I can increase the volume is by adjusting on the screen or in the settings. Has anyone got this issue? It is a shame that I been reading all about these Sony Xperia SP phone issues in this forum and regret getting it as I had a Samsung Galaxy 3 phone which I handed over to my daughter! Please assist. Thank you.
Repair your phone with SUS or PCC, if that doesn't work then it might be a hardware issue, you will have to take it to a Sony repair center

Hi uliwooly,
Thanks for your suggestions. I have downloaded the new software using the method you wrote, but it's still not working! What has gone wrong? BTW, how do I access my microsd from the phone? I have tried looking at all the area but can't locate the prompt.
Thank you.
I have this problem when my phone is locked. I can reduce the volume, but pressing volume up does nothing... at least until I press the power/unlock button again and then the volume suddenly jumps to wherever it should have been based on my presses.
Sometimes I forget the phone has this behaviour, turn the volume way up (without response), remember to press the unlock button and then get deafened!
