Video recording starts to stutter after around 30 seconds of recording

This is just one of the many issues I've had since the Lollipop 5.1 update the other week:

I've noticed that recording video works fine until after around 30 seconds of recording, the picture begins to freeze up/lag intermittently. At first I thought this may just be on the viewfinder only, and that the videos themselves would playback normally. But upon watching the videos, they freeze in the same places. How do I overcome this ridiculous issue?

Thanks

@alex_ncfc

That's rather odd, have you tried

settings > apps > all > camera > clear data

also, are you saving the videos on the internal storage or SD card?

have you encrypted the phone?

Hi alex_ncfc,

To add to @uliwooly questions, can you please also advise how much space you have left where you are saving them?

Hi.

The videos are being saved to the internal storage, and the system reports 1.82GB free on the internal storage. I have not tried saving them to my SD card.

Are you able to test and let us know if the same issues occurs with removable data(SD card)?

I'm facing the same problem, more or less on my Z5.

Sometimes video preview (while I'm recording video) is laggy. Some of these lags also found on he recorded video.

Happens only @30fps , not @60 (till now)

No matter if I use internal memory or sd (my sd card is class10 uhs3).
