I've asked this question before, the question was marked "Assumed answered" which it wasn't, so I am reposting. Anyway - the issue is very blurry video images on full zoom. The entire discussion is here together with an example of the images the camera is producing:

Full reset and re-install of 4.0.2.A.0.62 (Android 2.3.4) hasn't made any difference.
What now?
You can expect to have a drop in quality of the image when you zoom as it is a digital zoom as opposed to an optical zoon. This means it is essentially cropping and then enlarging the image.

Thanks Sam - I do understand your point, so tell me, how would Sony Xperia Support distinguish between a camera focusing fault and normal image degradation due to digital zoom? What tests can I do to establish this is normal, and not a fault?
Sam - I have just conducted some tests and am reposting because this is definitely an issue and I'd like Sony Xperia Support to look at the evidence and comment. Thanks

OK, thanks.
Have you thought about an automated bug reporting and tracking mechanism? I suggested something like that in the general section: http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/255439#255439.
