hi,

The volume even if when set to max is very low in Xperia Z .Its terrible listening to call cz of this low volume.

Could anyone plz suggest a solution ?

Sony ppl plz provide a fix for this issue...it's surely going to hamper the sales of Xperia in future if it continues.

HI there,

Have you recently submerged the phone in water? Many users have confirmed that after being submerged or wet, the speakers volume will be very low and the manual says to try and refrain from using it while it dries out. If you have got the speaker wet, simply let the phone dry out and hopefully your volume shall return to normal.

If you haven't got your Z wet then perhaps you might be one of the unlucky few with a faulty speaker or perhaps the sound is only low but works perfectly fine just you would like the phone to be louder? which many other users seem to agree with aswell, the speakers do not produce the quality and volume of their expectations

Thanks for the quick reply!

The sound is extremlly low and i m having a hard time due to this low volume during calls.There is certainly some issue with the speaker.Could you please advice how to get this resolved ?

Hmm Im not really equipped to provide technical advice beyond what I have read here but perhaps there is an issue with the phone hardware itself and you will need to get a replacement, but perhaps you could try resetting the phone itself to see if it improves or updating it through the PC companion or SUS

Thank u ..will try out..but i guess replacement will b my only resort if its a hardware issue!!

the built in speaker is not loud by default but loud enough to be heard - if you like many here have put your EZ in with the dishes then it takes a while for the speaker to return to normal - usually a few hours while it dries out, it is recommended not to use the ext speaker after washing with the dishes for several hours

PS it is also recommended not to wash with the dishes - my phone has never been near water even though it has the ability to survive a dunking - I resisted the temptation

Guys...don't worry...I got the solution for all of this....when the speaker going low volume after it get wet...all you need is to charge the phone for a few minutes and the volume goes back to normal. Tadaaaa!!!!
