Very less Usable RAM

Hi All,

I purchased a new Xperia ION  3 weeks back and i believe it comes with a 1GB RAM, If i am not wrong. When i go to settings->apps->running, I can able to see the RAM usage. It always show the total available RAM as around 620MB. I am just wondering about where is the remaining ~400MB of RAM and what can be done to free up RAM?

the android system uses the 400 MB RAM. so the 600 MB are normal
