Using 3g dongle on my sony xperia u using otg cable

I have a world call wireless 3g dongle by Huawei.Since i have no wifi in my home i want to connect this dongle with my smartphone and use internet on my smartphone.Is it possible.I know we can connect flash drive to xperia using otg cable,but can it detect 3g dongle and use internet on the smatrphone.

As far as I know the phone only works with flash drives, mouse and keyboard, etc. It will not be able to detect your 3G dongle as standard.

Thanks for the reply.But there might be an app for this purpose or a software of some sort.

You could connect the 3G dongle to a PC > root your Xperia U and intall > reverse tethering

thanks sir..i was realy worried about this..sir can i ask you a question,i hope im not disturbing you again and again..can this PPP widget app work on xperia U for connecting with 3g dongle?i am about to buy an android tablet and i searched somewhere on google that it might work on android tablet for connecting with 3g dongle.

sir i have written above in my text,its an application called PPP widget,i downloaded that app from my cousin's wifi connection,its not appearing on my homescreen of smartphone xperia U but its present in my settings in apps option,if you find something about it and find it useful then please do let me know as well,as im keeping rooting as the last option for my smartphone..thankssir for bearing me all this time.
