USB tethering

My xperia tipo has problem with usb tethering. It gets connected but shows no internet access.Initially when i had plugged in the usb cable to my pc,it installed some drivers(USB composite device and MTP) but could not install the Android driver.I am able to use the wifi hotspot feature.So please help me solve this issue.I think if i get to install the requisite driver when i plug the USB then my problem would be solved..HELP ME !!!

It sounds strange that it doesn't find a driver for USB tethering. The driver used is a standard driver which should be included in the operating system of your computer. Try installing all available updates for your computer and then plug the phone into another USB-port. If using a USB-hub, try plugging the cable directly into your computer.
If that doesn't help it would help to know what operating system you have in the computer.

Thanks Rickard for the help.My USB tethering has started working on its own.First i connected my phone to a genuine windows and in that Pc tethering worked fine and after that when i plugged once again to my laptop it worked.
