Usb pc connection problem

Dears,

I have problems with pc companion, the software doesn't recognise my mobile (Experia Sola/e). In this way I cannot exchange what I have in the phone with my pc.

Probably I made mistakes, thats why I need all your support to solve the matter.

Can you help me?

Well, I was using my mac pc to transfer music to my phone for a long time. Then I updated it to 4.0.4 and i can't  connect it. I downloaded bridge but still the same. When I connect my phone, the phone is charging but still is not detectable from neither the pc nor the bridge. If u can't help me with this, tell me a way to rescind the current update. Please help me.
