Unable to charge my mobile using USB cable to a PC/ Laptop....

The USB to micro USB cable is normally the culprit. Are you using the one that came with your phone? Others sometimes somehow dont work and sometimes do ..  some other cables come with only connect facility and no charging via USB. If your phone is being detected and not charging then that could be the issue therefore try with the original cable that camewith your phone. If still you have n issue

Try keeping your phone USB connectivity on mass storage since if it is on the other options and you dont have the software on your laptop/PC it may cause your device not to be recognised at all.

Bumping this old topic.

Having the same issue. The phone will only charge via USB connected to a PC if we install the software. Even on Mass storage mode.

It's not the cable because the phone will charge via PC if I turn off the phone.

Seems like a software issue. Tried all combination in the USB connectivity option screen but nothing works.

Any ideas?

 Just to add, even if connected and the software installed, it wil ldisconnect itself a after a while.
