besides baidu folder which had been covered by many, i also see upvise folder, with filenames in numbers. on 29/01/2015when i installed sony apk apps from xperia blog. i just uninstalled them to check if it appears again. also has files on 01/02/2015.
any idea what this upvise folder is? and how to check which program create which files?
some of the devices has files dated 12/2014, 01/2015, 10/2014, it is pretty recent, and with internet connection. one that doesn't have internet connection has no file in the folder.
they are demo phones & tablets so they should only have default apps
@Rickard here are pictures of devices with Upvise folder and some with files in it.
for me it happened after i install apps which were auto install by google play after repair. however i believe these stores phones are not installing any new apps especially any same apps besides what came with the phone.
the rate is about 2 in 3. some without files in it, even though it has internet connection.
I've checked more devices here but i don't have this folder in anyone of them. Is your phone branded for an operator? Do you see any app named Upvise installed under Settings -> Apps -> All?
it is quite a hit and miss, 2 in 3, my device just repaired and has the files in 3 days, those devices has the folder/file with the earliest on 29/10/2014.
my phone is running unbranded version and those phones are either telstra or optus operator phone. unbranded is rare here, only 1 sony shop.
all devices no Upvise app in Settings -> Apps -> All
Hi, landed here after finding this folder on my Z3 as well.
It appears one of the Sony apps (I'm guessing Sony Explore) uses Upvise to manage its data. Just about all of the files are jpgs and as you can see in this screenshot after adding the extension to the files, they are all thumbnails of Sony products.
so that's what it is
