Not sure. Other users have had problems with some of those apps working properly with lollipop. Seems to be a compatibility issue. Perhaps contacting the different app developers to see what the issue could be and to see if they are working on fixing it.

Hi,

One thing that came to my mind is the "Android System WebView" application. Have you made sure that this application is updated on your phone?

If not, update the application and try again to see if it can help.

Thanks for your replies, I've contacted the creators and I'm up to date with webview. But if I download a gif and try and play it. It will crash, so leads me to believe it is the Z1 Compact update. Any ideas?

I suggest that you perform a software repair via PC Companion. This will reinstall the latest software for your phone.

In PC Companion you press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Repair phone/tablet (the blue clickable link in the message) > Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.

Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it.

Note that, this will erase your personal data. Don't forget to backup you data before you perform this software repair. When the software repair is done, try the phone without restoring your backup to exclude any problems related to the data.
