updated my Xperia J just now, but it still continues to shut down abdruptly. It's still under warranty. Can i get it replaced?

I got my phone three months back. Recently it's started shutting down randomly without an error/warning message. i keep my phone up to date and recently updated it again by PC Companion.

however the problem of shutting down still persists (it shut down again as i was typing). It's still under warranty. What can i do to get rid of this problem? The safe mode did not help either. Please suggest suitable measures! thanks!

Following are the phone specifications:

  1. Android Version: 4.1.2
  2. model: ST26i
  3. Build Number: 11.2.A.0.31
  4. Country: India

That seems strange, tried with another SIM-card? have you tried to do a repair of the phone software?

Click on this link to get Sony PC companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

Start PC companion, start "Support Zone", start "Update phone software" and click on "Repair".

Follow the on-screen instructions.

I switch between two cities twice a year. The sim card i was using previously did not have the phone shutting down like that. however, this time on getting a new sim when the problem as arised, i am not sure if this is just a sim card issue or more than that. is there a way i can find out if my prosblem is just sim card related? i used Vodafone by the way. both numbers which i used have vodafone as the carrier.
