Update to Android 4.0 ICS

Hi,

I just purchased a xperia sola which currently has android v2.3 but I want to upgrade it to v4.0. As the android system update can't be rolled back I need a second opinion whether to upgrade it or not. My concern is it should work smoothly and not get hung. If anyone has already upgraded their sola their review would be very helpful. Thanks. - Kunal

After using ICS on Sola for a couple of months I recently had enough.

I did many factory resets in hope to get the phone working nomally again.

Problems which occured with ICS were the following:

• Apps started slow.
• GPS reception was very bad.
  • Waze program would lose GPS signal every now and then (of course in the worst possible situation)
  • GPS lock sometimes took up to 10 minutes

I do not recommend installing ICS.

I recently flashed back 2.3.7 with offiicial(?) ROM found on XDA.
