i am with firmware 162 and i finally received now a message in PCC that update 188 is available.

then after starting with the update process, putting the device back in following the wizard instructions, it suddenly tells me that the update engine couldn't find an update for me.

what's going on with Sony ? it used to be a synonym for quality. how can update my device ?

also anybody managed to update to this update ? any first impressions ?

looks like sony is not clear with it's updates. and i really really don't understand what does it has to do with the country i leave in. i didn't buy it from any service provider.

I suggest that you try again later, in a day or two or use Update Service to see if reports the same problem.

Updating from update service tool is covered under warrenty? I am trying to connect my sola to my computer using pc companion but it doesn't seem to go beyond the detection point. It keeps on installing the device. I don't know what to do.
