Unread messages/mails (notifier) notification bubbles

Hi,

I have a Xperia Z1 Compact updated with latest android and everything...

Frustrating thing I find about this is I can't see any notification bubble / unread count / notifier on most of the app icons (WhatsApp, Outlook, fb messenger, hangout etc.) 

Everytime I have to check status bar / notification bar on the top to see what do I need to check!! That's annoying..

Why can't I just look at my homescreen and see an unread count on app icons!!

I tried third party apps Go Launcher, Nova launcher, notifyer etc with their notification plugins but all are worthless for several reasons; 1. they do not support all apps 2. other downsides of any launcher slow performance, glitches etc. and 3. not all work in the way they are supposed to...

Anyway I just want to know that is there anything I can do except installing such third party apps to get that notification bubble on the app icons or it's Sony who needs to update??

My friends who have Samsun Galaxy and other Samsun products can see that bubble and their android is not even latest...

Please somebody help!!

Have exactly the same problem - it bothers me a lot. Does anybody know how to solve it? Thanks.
