Hi
I have had this phone for two days and on the second day this problem started.
I keep getting this notification on my screen even when I'm not attempting to use the calendar.
It is very annoying.
I have been into settings/apps/all and cleared the cache and the data.
Please help.
Do you have any taskiller or antivirus or battery apps?
I have an antivirus that I have now run but it didn't fix the problem. The problem began before I had it.
I don't have any of those others unless they come with the.phone.
Sorry for the delay in replying.
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Perhaps, you could clear data for calendar storage via Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > Calendar Storage.
Note that if you have made any local events in your phone, this data will be lost. You can always try to back up this data with the preinstalled "Backup & restore" application.
Thank you for your suggestion.
I had already done that and it stopped the problem for a few hours and then it started up again.
I it has now been several days and I have rebooted the phone (using the paper clip method) this morning.
When I restarted the phone after the reboot the error message came straight up again but I will try your suggestion again and see if it takes.
Ok. I did what you said.
It was all ok for approx 24 hours and then I got the error again.
So I went in and cleared everything again, that was approx 12 hours ago.
Did you manage to get rid od the message?
I bought this phone on Friday and yesterday it started with this message, it's so anoying!
I can't believe that this problem hasn't been fixed yet! What a complete lack of respect for your customers, Sony! Are we supposed to put up with this error? For how long?
Some of us are tied into long contracts and we have no choice on this...
There shouldn't be a need to try all these restores and backups etc, this phone should work properly! It's a flagship product!
Why hasn't this been addressed?! And how do you expect to stay afloat in the mobile market when small fixes like these are overlooked?
Absolutely embarassing !!
