Unable to view images/videos in Gallery?

I am able to take photos and record videos and what not, and it does appear as thumbnails in the camera screen, but if I tap on the thumbnail, it opens to a dark screen. And when I go into Gallery, it has the background of the Gallery, but with no content. I have tried to clear the data, but that rarely works, and when it does, I can only view the Gallery once, going back to the blank screen if I open it up a second time.

Settings > apps > all > album > clear cache > restart your phone

It won't let me clear cache. 😕 I can only clear data.

Download OI File Manager > look for DCIM > 100Andro > can you see the pictures?

And that clashes with another issue. ;_;
I can't connect to the home wifi.

any micro USB should work, there isn't any other way around it
