Unable to sign into email and other apps

I have been unable to sign into my email via the provider website on my Sony Xperia z5. I had the same problem on my z1 which was allowing me to sign in to emails then just stopped letting me. It comes up saying invalid user name or password. Which it isn't as I can still access it via my computer. Has started happening with other apps also. Via mobile internet and wifi. Have spoken to my email provider about it and they have said it is a setting on the phone. I never changed anything on my z1 and as much as I have looked I can't figure out what is stopping me from doing it. Any help would be great

Are you using an app to log in or just a browser?

It won't let me sign in either way. Says incorrect user name or password on both.

What keyboard are you using? Is it on English when you type passwords? Sometimes Latin characters entered by another language than English can trigger this.

Just a standard English keyboard. It's got me why its doing it. Originally on my z1 I could sign into emails then it stopped working. I thought upgrading to the z5 would fix the issue but it hasn't. Now it's starting to do the same for some apps that originally I could sign into and is coming up with the same message.

It's quite strange indeed, when you enter your username does it appear as a suggestion on the list provided by your Xperia Keyboard and you choose it from there, or you type it all manually? Note that when you choose a suggested word, a space after this word will be inserted by default. Make sure that this space is deleted, it might be the problem.
