unable to back up

I am using Sony pc companion to back  up my sony experia u .It takes 3 min but does not finish backing up. in Alt + Ctrl + Del it shows that it is not responding.

When I was making the first backup , the phone rang and i answered it. was this wrong? What can i do now?

Thank you for the reply, the phone backed up  after 5 min or so. It was too slow.. I will give the alternative a try next time.
