Hello everyone,
I recently bought a Sony Ericsson T715A that was suppossed to be new and unlocked but the call time counter in the service menu stated 00:00:40. Additionally, the slider count was 37. Lastly, the part I wanted to ask about is that when I navigate to internet settings there are two networks already configured and are written in Chinese letters followed by GPRS. I cannot delete them for when I try it states locked.
My second question is if there is a place to buy unlocked Sony Ericsson phones besides ebay.
Hi, with respect to the call time and the slider count, 40 seconds and 37 slides respectively, these numbers are negligible in terms of the phone's lifespan, so the phone is basically new.
With respect to the networks that you cannot delete, the phone may be still branded to a particular network, but the phone seems to be unlocked since you are able to access its menu with your own SIM card--or am I missing something? Or can you not download the settings for your own network?
If you're looking for unlocked SE mobiles, you could try amazon--since you bought the american version of this phone, I assume that you're in that part of the world, so try amazon.com which sell a number of unlocked SE mobiles.
Hope this helps
Chris
