Trouble with software updates

Hi there,

I just bought the X10 mini pro a couple days ago and am still coming to terms with Android phones.

I installed PC companion but it will not allow me to install the software update. It tries for 10 minutes, goes through several steps and then give me an error message saying I need to contact support.

Is anyone else getting these messages?

Also - I can seem to find how to activate the voice dialler. Try looking up 'permissions' or 'hardware control' in the help - no results are returned. I can't find where you change audio settings, record audio.

Try factory reset... Otherwise its better to take it to the Sony Service center

You can try running the update via Sony Ericsson Update Service downloadable from the support section of this website.  Make sure you back up your contacts either by copying to SD or syncing with gmail or SE's own sync - depends whats available to you in your location. Just an update shouldn't wipe your phone or affect any downloaded apps if you select the right option but I am cautious and my contacts are precious so I don't take risks!
