Trouble with "Sim Toolkit"

Hi,


I have brought a X10 mini sim free. My network is vodafone and I can't seem to view the balance through the "sim toolkit", my vodafone, balance. The balance request gets sent but when it comes back it's whole bunch of random symbols and numbers.The same thing happens when you request my number from the "sim toolkit as well.

Would any one know if this is a phone or network problem? Also any suggestions on how to fix the problem would be much appreciated.

if like me you have been with voda a longtime and have the same sim all these years it'll be time for a new one... i had an issue with a stupid 360 update checked to seee if it would show my number it gave me @£!$%%^!^^&&!% as my number lol so i rang them and they said oh your sim is quite old we will send you a new one tomorrow just like that so im guessing sim tech has change over the years and mine was obsolete.. ring customer services and ask wtf and i bet they do the same for you..

Thank you for your response, very much sounds like that's the cause. I'll get on to getting a up to date sim.
