Transfer files to mounted sd-card, encryption, FLAC

Hi

I just bought the Xperia tipo and my first impression is that the phone is somewhat mediocre. The best surprise that I got (and was hoping for) is that the phone, and music player that comes as default application, supports FLAC even if the datasheets says it doesn't. Anyway, time for my questions.

1) How do I put the phone into "USB Storage" mode when connected with a USB cable?

2) How do I enable encryption of the internal storage and all my settings that came with Android 3.0?

I'm afraid the Xperia tipo, just like all the other Xperia phones launched so far, has no support for the FLAC format as a standard. Most likely you can easily get hold of a music player that can handle that format by searching the Google Play store in your phone. Slightly_smiling_Face

You can select what connection mode the phone shall use by going in to Settings - Xperia - Connectivity - USB connection mode - Select the one you'd like to use

You're not able to access the internal memory on the phone in any way, except from what you can see in the menues in the phone.

Thank you.

Well I suppose you don't "support" flac but my music files do play just fine with the stock music player. 😃

Finally, I've been trying so hard to change to USB Mass Storage. Perfect!

I was able to access the internal memory through MTP after some configuration on my PC, but the connection was really slow, so I will put that aside for the future.

Any comment about the "2" question, about encryption?
