touchscreen not working correctly

Since a few days I'm having problems with the touchscreen of my TX. For some reason if I hold it in landscape and try to type a 'v' for texting or for going to vimeo.com or something like that, I can't type the 'v'....
There seems to be a complete line right in the middle of my screen, vertical line through 'v' in landscape', where I can't type correctly or do anything actually.

Like when I went to draw something in the game 'Draw Something', in portrait, if I draw it vertically from top to bottom there will be a gap in the middle of the line which is almost in the middle of the screen about 1cm long...

If I draw fast enough, it sometimes works but it's not really a solution.

Also when I'm trying to select anything like contacts, pictures, music, a hyperlink, etc... that's on that line it'll just jump away to the closest thing that it can find...

Anyone had a simillar problem like this? Or those the forum support have any help?

Hm, seems like there's something wrong with the screen. You should try repairing the software via PC Companion as a first step. Hopefully it's related to software and will be fixed by the repair. If the problem still persists after the repair, it might be related to the hardware and in that case you need to send the phone in to a service center for repair instead.

But just in case it's a hardware error, do I need to have anything special before I have to send it in?

As long as you have your receipt/warranty papers you shouldn't need anything else.

Ok, after a while of searching for my receipt and warranty papers and trying stuff like updating my phone or putting it back to factory settings: the touchscreen of my phone is still not properly working.
Even after I got the latest update a a few days ago, it still has that invisible non-working line of pixels I can't get around...

So where do I have to send my phone to and how should I approach the sending and what not. Because I only have the phone+charger and the papers, but I don't have the box.
