My Xperia Ion phone screen is not responding to touches. The strip in the middle of the phone is non-responsive to touches. Rest all areas are responding to touches properly.
Please find me a solution or let me know the how much it will cost for repairing this.
Hi raj_ion,
Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Although not likely, this could be software, I suggest trying a backup of data and then a software repair on the device,
1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.
Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.
3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
4. Phone Software Update.
5. Start.
6. Repair Phone
7. Continue
8. Accept data removal
9. Next
10. Wait for prepare
11. Select Phone
12. Follow the connection steps
I have already done this using PC companion, but the problem still persists
I see, that is unfortunate, I then suggest following the instructions to contact Sony Mobile Customer Care directly.
I do apologize for the inconvenience.
Jake.
