Touch screen problem Xperia X

I'm new to Sony, recently got the xperia x having used iPhone for years and have come upon a problem with my touch screen in the past couple of weeks. My home button and Internet tabs button are not working. I have to use the back button constantly or close out of whatever site I'm on. Also, when I am in a game the only way I can get out of it is to restart the phone using the power button. I'm sure I've got some settings wrong or something silly bit maybe someone who has had Sony for longer will know what I've done! Any help much appreciated.

do you experience this while you are in safe mode?

try to run diagnostics ,, settings>about phone>diagnostics, does the display work well?

Hi, I woke this morning to find that my home button and recent button aren't working and the notification bar is not displaying notifications.

It started after turning it on after a full charge over night after it ran out of battery. I originally thought it would be nova launcher, I changed to xperia home and its still doing the same. I attempted to create a manual backup so I could restore but for some reason the backup isn't working, so i would rather find a fix first before going for a reset.

Touch screen itself is fine, the back, home and recent buttons vibrate after I've disabled the vibrate and the touch screen diagnostic is fine.

Touchscreen works but not the back/home buttons? Have you tried diagnostics?

Pretty much tells me it's partly a touchscreen problem.
