Dear sony
Being a loyal customer for years, I have enjoyed your products much. I was happy to see "SONY" brand on a mobile and spent what I had on a Xperia U. $340 and yes it was ok. [and $500 for xperia P]
Fisrt problem came with updates. Waited for ages but my Xperia U didn't get ICS update. I was ashamed infrom of my friends (Who uses Samsung, apple etc) but still I defended sony brand.
Second problem ; As a GIFT (yes I like to say that) of buying Xperia U at its release dates I'm a person who sufered with DIGITIZER problem. No official answer, no official solution just SONY told us to change it. And yes I did so, spent another $50 .!!!!
I was so worried and felt sad on how those official customer care people (Including people who maintain this forums as a part of CRM of SONY) Igonred US [me with everyone who faced with this problem] in this forum .!
After five months of use, my digitizer faced with the same issue .!! So I think it's not the DIGITIZER which has the error, it is the SONY'S MOBILE.! I will spend another $25 on the replacement and yes I will happily sell and say good buy to SONY brands
I think CRM is something you have failled in these years, how ever hard you try you fail to gain market share. And yes quality is a problem on you [Recall Xperia S yellow tint issue, Xperia J calibration issue, ARC S problems and xperia Z's poor display and heat problem
There 's a saying "Retaining a CUSTOMER is easier than ACCUARING a new customer" ; And you have failled in that .!!

Better change your xperia .!!!
Sorry to hear that you're having problems with the touch again and that you feel ignored. We do of course want to assist you but as this (most likely) is a hardware issue in your phone it is something that needs to be investigated further and repaired by an authorized service location.
And Its not me actually ,, I have several more cases with the same issue.. A friend of mine get the same problem after using about 8 months, Now he's suffering .!!
Design of h/w is faulty I think, Specially the power controlling for touch screens .. But SONY doesn't want to investigate as Xperia U is a "Neglected" device for them..
And Mr Rickard you can't do anything about this through a forum. But keep this in mind, you have already lost many "NEW" customers because of these issues.....
p.s- Look at the Xperia Z back cover problem.. Is this what we get for our money ??? "MAKE.DON'T BELIEVE" ..

Fyi people,, three people who bought Xperia U in different times periods had this issue and suffering now. Latest case came after using 1 Year .!! So thing is that "Xperia u" Is a defective design
should accept that....
Warning for Xperia U users - Touchscreen issue could come at anytime

Hi I have a problem with the screen of my xperia u, the left side does not work and I have to use it about 7 months ... what I can do or where to take him?
