i just thought of this, if the bottom caps is replaceable with other colors, maybe its not a bad idea if the back cover is replaceable too, i've searched that we can buy other colors of bottom caps separately, i hope we can buy other color of the back cover separately too. is there a chance that sony will sell a back cover for xperia u? thank you in advance.

As I understand the back covers are not released as a separate accessory. But I suggest that you contact your local support team to check if they might be able to help you get a back cover in another color.
