I have seen that many of you are facing many problems with the Xperia P and dont know the real cause problem.
Over the 10 months with Neo V & P , XDA forums and all .
I can give you some basic settings / apps ( from play store ) which can help you in figuring out the real nature of problem / solution !!
Please go through this post below !!
This app helps you to keep an track of your CPU usage , so that you can know, if your CPU is not being used continuously by some app !!
make sure this box is unchecked, this uses phone resources !! Nothing practically useful by this
Any anti theft/ secutrity app you install on your phone, gets this administrator access , to remove any app , just go to Location & Security > Device adminnistrator . This type of apps can be battery killer, so keep a track on their performance !!
Uncheck this box to remove that particular app !
Keep this Auto sync off, when not using , i prefer to sync my data once in night, when i reach my home and on wifi, it helps me keep my battery during the day.
In Facebook app, do these settings, because this app is the most reources consuming !!

This animation setting helps a lot in improving performance, i noticed its huge advantage after ICS update my Neo V gone from rabbit to tortoise 
Through this app you can see the permissions by each app, so that you can find out if your data is not being stealed by any app !!
In play store settings , i think turning off auto update save data usage as well as phone resources, i rellay dont like my phone net being slow, when i am in dire need of speed !!
in google maps, save your location map offline so that , while using the map, you dont encounter, data usage for loading the map. it also helps in instant GPS fix and smooth navigation
By turning this option off, you are securing your phone from any malicious/ spam apps getting installed. it helps you to stay safe and avoid any need for antivirus etc.
Also turn off NFC , when not using to avoid anybody hacking your phone. and save phone reousrces !!
