I have my laptop connected to the internet through USB dongle, (tata photon), and I want TIPO to be connected to the internet, through USB cable,

My other phone (HTC explorer) can do this through internet passthrough, however , there is no such feature for TIPO, Can I get help.

I do not want to use the mobile internet through my mobile service provider.

Unfortunately this is not possible to do with Xperia tipo by default.

Use your HTC Explorer as "WiFi hotspot" for Tipo !

Yes its possible with tipo to use it as a modem for internet connection

just do the following steps

1.Download and install Pdanet software on PC and Mobile.

2.Open software in both PC and Mobile

3. Keep th usb debugging mode on and follow the instructions on your computer screen

After doing yhese steps you will be able to surf internet on PC through USB Tethering
