This folder is empty

Hello,

All over the sudden, when connecting the phone via usb to a windows machine, the windows file explorer says that my "music" folder is empty though it actually has 50 folders and 480 files.

I can still create new folder (from Windows file explorer) and transfer music files into them. And they will later show up in both Windows and Android file managers

Can someone tell how to fix this?

Thanks in advance for any help

When browsing the folder on your phone via a file explorer do the music/album folders have a dot at the beginning as this will render them hidden - Some time this has happened to me and I just have to unplug my phone then reconnect - Check that you don't have 2 music folder one with a dot and one without

alot of times when i plug my phone via cable nothing shows up in the Drive.

Using Cable for Data Transfer in Xperia isnt a handy solution.. thats what i think.

i'd ask you to try "AirDroid" or "Wifi File Transfer" since you can use your system browser in it and transfer files over Wifi (not internet but Wifi)

hope you find it helpful

indeed i use x-plore on my phone and tablet both for file management as for accessing clouds or my PCs via ftp (got filezilla server on my PCs) I now realize that ardroid i can transfer files to/from friends machines w/o installing any software and it seems pretty fast so i guess i'll adopt your idea. Thanks

BTW, my symptome is different:

- I think that i can see all my folders except the ones with many files in them such as "music" or "images"

- Once a folder is declared empty, i can still add (structured) stuf  to it and it will show with both OSs but thereafter i'll need to make a second pass with x-plorer to move things in the right place.

This seems to me as a simple software bug on the Android side when emulating a storage.

So i do find this very usefull and thanks again
