the volume of ringtone and notifications are the same...make both of them seperate ....n the calculator...all the trigonometric values are cpmpletely wrong...please fix it as soon as possible..by the way, i am using Xperia Mini Pro !!!
If you are using Gingerbread, there's a tick-box under the "Alarm" volume entry - untick that and you'll get a separate slider to change the notification volume
i updated my phone to ice cream sandwich and now i am facing this problem...please find a solution..
In ICS, Google designed it so that the notification volume is linked to the ringer - there's no way to set it independently and that is outside of Sony's control.
As a work-around, you could create your own, quieter sound-file. Copy that to your phone and use that instead of the built-in notification tones.
is the same with GB notification volume is together with ringer
In Gb, u can have seperate volumes, in ICS, that option is not working.
Terribly annoying at nights, when u would like to pick up calls (may be an emergency call)
and ignore notifications.
Can any app fix this?
are you sure about that? bc I don't see that option on my phones with GB

I used to have it working in my GB, You may try installing Volume Control+ widget from here in your GB phone and choose settings -> System Settings and uncheck link notifiacation and Ringtone
Uli - in GB (on the SK17i at least) the notificiation and ringer volumes are linked but there's an option to separate them by ticking a box in the "Sound" settings sub-menu. If you tick that, you can use an independent slider to set the notification volume.
The change to hard-linking them appears to be a generic move with ICS - I looked a few sound apps and they have comments saying that the unlinking no longer works with ICS - it's not a Sony-only issue. I don't doubt that some clever-dick will sort out an app to work around it soon enough - but it would be best if Google sort it in an update (and from what I've read, there are enough niggles and problems with ICS to suggest there'll be updates released pretty quickly).
how do you get to this menu? because I can't find it
