The Sony Scam!

The Sony Scam!

I purchased a Sony Xperia Miro (ST23i) on 1st December 2012. Ever since I have purchased this phone, I have done nothing but have been taking my phone to service center.

Initially I had trouble with charging the phone, which got repaired after a month from submission of phone to the service center. After a few days, the phone presented itself with a new issue. It kept restarting on its own. I had to submit the phone to the service center again. After a fortnight, they returned the phone and claimed to have replaced the mother board. The service center did not provide me with any receipt or proof of motherboard replacement. A few hours after I received the phone, the same restarting problem kept recurring.  I was tired of going to the service center again and again, so I decided to make do with the phone and its defects. After a week, the display went off. I had no other option but to take it back to the service center. They returned the phone to me the next day, and claimed that the phone had some software issues. The problem repeated itself again within a weeks time. I requested the Sony service to replace my phone and hand me a new set. They are not willing to replace the phone and neither are they solving the issues related to my phone. My phone still remains unrepaired and worthless in the Sony service center. I guess there is no point in keeping the phone with me as it has proven itself worthless. All this phone has brought me is misery. To be honest, I didnt even use the phone for 30 days. All I did was waste my money on this worthless product.

I have been to the service center about five times, but I am still unable to get my phone repaired. I guess, Sony has resorted to more desparate means of making money, by scamming people. I have read a lot about people facing similar problems. I had no other option but to file a case against Sony in the consumer court.

I request everyone who has had trouble with Sony to register a complaint at Consumer court.

I have had a similar experience. My Miro is now for the third time in Sony service Center, I bought around 6 months ago but only used it for half the time.
