My name is Alexandre - from Brazil.
The mobile Xperia SP was working until I tried to install a suggested updade and the program Companion 2.1 shuts it down and took off the OS. It does not turn on.It is a brand new mobile.
Before that the Companion did not transfer uptdates with Windows 8 in an also quite new Sony Vaio I7 notebbok!
Then is was tried the Windows 7 version in another computer and it just shut down and has lost its OS.
Try like ;
- Open SUS and click update and find your phone.
- Your phone have to be closed , then plug in the usb cable to your phone.
- Then keep pressing the volume down button and plug the usb cable to your computer.
Theese are what SUS/SPC says and needs.
SUS doesn't work at windows 8 if you don't have usb 3.0 and it's replaced drivers. So try it with Pc Companion. If you don't react by the device the way is taking it to Repair Service.
I believe that what the phone enters into in order to update which is Flashmode is incompatible with Windows 8 or any operating system running 64bit,
So you need to use a Pc or Laptop running a system from XP to Windows 7 using the 32bit
Now asuming you are now running the above install PCC and follow this guide here to run a repair (Ignore the title of Xperia Z as it's the process you need to follow) or you can use SUS found here to run a repair and get your phone up and running
