The LED notification light is too dark

Is in your Z3 it is so dark LED notifications? Is this a bug in LED driver?

The LED diode is very very dark....

No. There is no film, no glass and no protective cover.

Has it always been like that or looks dimmer now? 

test it with service menu

It is all the time so dark....

In the test form service menu is dark...

Maybye this is normally in Z3. but in my Nexus5 the led diode is very very bright.

Got it, it's the size too, there's nothing else to suggest here as it's a hardware limitation other than using a third party app to use a different LED notification color and/or use the screen to let you know when you receive a message.
