when i'm trying to go to android-market i log in with my google-account, but it always says that my phone isn't ready for internet connections. But the phone is already using WiFi and is connected.
When I go
settings -> applications -> manage applications ->
I will get a screen saying "You don't have any third party programs installed" and I can't go any further.
Note: I have swedish as language, so for me it's:
inställningar-> program-> hantera program
But I guess it would work the same way...
can you take a screenshot?
Ok at the point that you get in to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, press the Menu Button and select tap Filter and then All.
Is Market listed there? If it is then uninstall updates and clear cache. Let us know how you get on.
OK, now I can find "Market". But I can't find "uninstall updates and clear data".
I only find:
Clear cache
Clear defaults
Force stop
and when I try to connect to Market, the problem remains. 😞
Hmmmm, racking on my brains on this one.
Ok you say you have Swedish on the phone, can I just check that you purchased the phone there. If not can you confirm where you bought it from. I am only thinking that some countries didn't allow the Android Market on their devices so if it was bought in the middle east for example, this may be an issue.
If the phone was purchased in Sweden or Europe for example the Market should be there and functional. You have a couple of options here, the first one to try is going through all the google associated apps in your Manage Applications list, so Gmail, Talk etc and clear data/cache etc. Then sign in on Gtalk and then try the Market. It may spur it in to action - if not then your last resort is running a software repair/factory reset which will wipe your phone entirely. You can then set it up from scratch and see if it sorts the issue out. Bear in mind that you will lose all data so ensure that your Contacts are synced or saved to SD card, your SMS are backed up if you want to keep them - you can download apps from the market for this. Any data on your SD card will be untouched.
Let us know how you get on.
OK, the phone is bought in Sweden.
I've run thru the list of Google-programs and cleared all cache.
Could not log on to Google Talk, same fault code.
So I guess I go for full wipe and SW repair.
I'll get back and report (If I return from the Dark Side...)
it might be the Gmail account you are currently using, you should do a settings reset and re-enter it, if all fails then use PCC or SUS to repair your phone
Sorry for my late reply!
I did full reset with the PCC and the phone works like charm now!
I think I also found the root cause of the trouble: My daughter used the phone in US for a while (with american SIM-card) and that probably messed up all settings known to man.
Thanks for your support!
Anytime, I'm glad it's working now
