Texting and Conversation Issues Xperia Tipo

Hey,

         I seem to have just started having a few issues with my phone. The battery fell out after the casing came loose and now I can't see new messages, I can see the notifications on the top of the screen, but when I click on them it just takes me to the messages screen. In fact the conversation that was open at the time the battery fell out seems to have completely vanished! I also can't send any messages, when I write them out and hit send the previous message just flashes at me.

Anyone have any idea what's up or have experienced it themselves. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I suggest that you try to clear data for the messaging application. This can be done via Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > Messaging > Clear data.

If the problem persist, you can also try to clear your conversations via Messaging > Menu-button (the one in the bottom right corner) > Delete several > Mark all > Delete.
