These links are of no use...

I need the steps that needs to used for messaging to work. All the APN settings have been checked. Also Sim card is not faulty

if the APN settings are ok, and the SIM card it's not older than 1year the other issue could be that there's an app acting up

uninstall any taskiller, antivirus, battery app > restart your phone and try again

it could also be that you have poor network coverage

does it happen with all SMS or just when the SMS it's longer than 140characters?

This is happening with All the messages.

Also this is brand new phone purchased on 23rd Dec and since then not even a single message is sent nor I have installed any application in it

Ok pelase try running an update/repair:

1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

and install it on your PC.

2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.

Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.

3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

4. Phone Software Update.

5. Start.

6. Repair Phone

7. Continue

8. Accept data removal

9. Next

10. Wait for prepare

11. Select Phone

12. Follow the connection steps
