Text message problem

Hi.

When I turn on the phone (Xperia Z), or phone is logging in mobile network, phone sends a lot of text messages (SMS), that have been already sent. Today my gf got 21 old messages... How to solve it? It's annoying and can cost me a lot.

This has occured in the past on my Z1 several times,I think the network was resposible for that.

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

This may also be related to the messaging app, I do suggest contacting the network first, however failing that try the following.

Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Messaging > Clear Data.

Is there a way to completely disable SMSs? I'm having big troubles with auto reply with SMS and can't disable them. I'm so desesperate that I'm willing to completely disable them, since my provider refuses to do it on their side.

Sorry Gusstavv, what do you mean by SMS auto reply?

@Gusstavv If you are referring to "reject call with a message" you can't disable this feature.

Hi Krychu

I can advise that SMS messages should not be deleted when performing this task, however I would still suggest backing them up with PC Companion.
