Text and email count notifications stuck

Text and email counters on the smartwatch 2 still indicate unread messages even though there are none. Ive tried clearing, resetting ad rebooting. All to no avail. Please help.

Try clearing data for email smart extras? Go to settings > app. 

Restart your phone and SmartWatch and and try again.
