Tethering issue

Impossible to tether with my Xperia V : wifi, bt or usb don't work, i'm connected but no surf at all, no ping. My carrier (Orange France) alllows this in my plan (and it perfectly works with my old Motorola Atrix...). Tye APN have been downloaded from the operator, no problem at this point.

Talked this morning with an enginner from Orange who confirmed it's a phone specific software bug...

How can i fix, this ? I will not root my phone and/r install 3rd party application, i've bought an expensive phone with this essential function included !

Sony, will you correct this bug very soon ?

If not i'll quickly return the phone.

my Xperia V works perfectly well on wifi tether and USB connect.

I am on JB-490.

I recommend that you check again with your operator that your SIM and subscription really supports tethering and that you have the correct APN for tethering under Settings -> More -> Mobile networks -> Access point names.

Hi. I have the same problem. No tether with wifi, bt or usb.

User from Spain, operator Movistar and the phone is "lt25i de" working with JB 490.

I checked with carrier and APN ok, SIM ok, so... looking for solutions.

I suggest to get a friend whose phone is working and use your SIM card to verify if it is a carrier issue.

Vice versa to confirm if this is a Xperia V issue.

I did in HTC One, Xperia U and HTC desire S working proprly, in Xperia V impossible. I changed the SIM too.

higwayman, how many APN you got?

i only got 1 APN.

Why not try inputing manual an APN that you know works?
