taking pic under water

I heard that alot of people one to talk pic under water with this phone well I found a app (free) name quick cam auto free (there is a pro but need to buy ) it uses the phone proximity sensor (next to the front speaker ) to take pic it will stil work when your phone screen is off

Thanks for the tip.

There's another app (Camera 360 I guess) which others have suggested. It lets you use the volume down key as a shutter button. But I don't know if its advisable to press buttons underwater.

What would you say to  pressing buttons underwater ? Never does Sony mention anything about 'not' pressing buttons when a water resistant device is wet.

I would say do not press any buttons underwater and the app I recommend does not need any buttons to be press you just need to wave your hand at the sensor and it will take pic very fast
