System alarm clock does not work.

Hello,

In my Xperia P (ICS) system alarm clock and other notifications do not work until I turn the screen on. It is very difficult while I am asleep. It seems the system time is not updated when the phone is in standby mode. When I turn the screen on all delayed alarms and notifications start ringing. What should I do? I can not be late so often...

same problem here, does'nt happen every time but seem to freeze sometimes when in sleep mode!

for example today => wake u pa 7:30 got alarm at 6:45 and 7:00 didnt ring until I turn the screen on. clock still showing 5:30 for a few seconds before getting the right time...

it's a shame that a phone of that build quality has so poor  software, bugs everywhere, custom ROMS developers can alone make better ROMS than sony engineers ...

Which build number are you running on?

Settings > About phone.

Have you tried to reinstalled the phone software?

No, I have not reinstalled the software - only updates via PCC.

For now the solution (or workaround) is to turn off Extended Standby Mode. During last 3 days after ESM has been turned off, phone works quite good - all notifications and alarm clock ring right on time (at the expense of battery life of course).
