Sync phone calendar

Upgraded to Lollipop an dnow my Phone Calendar has moved to a folder called SYNCML_ORPHANED and my calendar has stopped syncing wiht my online account. I assume that the upgrade has reset a setting somewhere but I can't find it.

It was like this before the update as well. The local device calendar is stored under syncml_orphaned but i suspect you are using a 3:rd party calendar application if you see this name? In our calender you will see it as "Default account - Device calendar".

The phone calendar is not linked to any online services so it's not synchronized online. You can synchronize the local calendar with a PC and PC Companion though. If you want to synchronize the calendat with an online account you need to add your meetings to the calendar that belongs to that account. When you add an event in the phone you can select account above the event name.

I use Google Calendar to manage my calendar entries and a third party app to display them on my home screen. So the screen where I see the strange name is within the Google app. I don't think it was like that before Lollipop. Is there any way to disable or hide this calendar?

Yes, Google Calendar will show this name for example. It has the same name also in Android 4.4 if you use Google Calendar instead of our calendar app.

You can hide all events from this calendar if you tap the icon at the top left in the calendar and then uncheck it in the list. But if you have a 3:rd party calendar widget you may also need to disable it in the settings for that widget.
