Hi I do not use the mobile calendar often, but need to get myself organised.
I often use windows live mail on my computer and wondered if i could link the Live Mail Calendar to the calendar on my sony Xperia J.
I don;t need it to up date during the day while i'm out.
when i get home it woul dbe good to connect laptop and phone via USB and have any events added to my calendar automatically updated to the other device - laptop to phone and phone to laptop.
firstly is this possible or am i dreaming to things that are impossible?
secondly how do i do it?
I keep reading about google accounts and other things but have no idea if i need this or whether i can simply get the 2 programs to talk to each other via USB.
Please tell me what i can do and the easiest way to set it up
Yours sincerely

Well, unfortunately I don't think it will be easy to get these two synchronized locally.
I'd recommend that you start using a Google account. This is the easiest way to get a fully synchronized calendar both on the PC and in the phone. Via the phone you just do as you've done previously, add all appointments you want in the calendar. These will all be synchronized to your Google account if you set the phone to do so. In your PC you just open up gmail.com and click calendar, and there you have it - all your appointments.

what if we can't access our phone to turn the synch feature on? I need to synch my calandar or transfer it to my new device but I can't do it via the google method. I keep getting the message 'no application available' next to clandar, no matter which method of synching I try. I also use windows live mail
Have tried what is stated and still there is no addition to my google calender. It shows on the sony syc program that is it doing it and there are changes made but when I look at the goggle calender it does not show any changes nor the new year appts.
thoughts?
