sudden temperature rise

i have an arc s,recently i restored my mobile...there is no apps installled..suddenly i talked through the mobile and left it on the table...after few miniutes i found my phone becomes very very hot,,it became so hot that i couldnt touch it for a moment..then i remove the baterry.i bought it a year ago...i dont understnd wht the problem was..now it is okay,bt now i am worried if this happens again when it is not with me..plz give me solution

Well, it's hard to say what may have caused this issue. The phone has built in functions to prevent overheating, and it will shut down processes or itself it detects to high temperatures. The phone will get hot when using power consuming functions, for example WiFi/calling etc. If you are worried there's something wrong with the phone, you can always send it in to a service center for repair.
