Subtitle support in default movie app in Xperia sp with android version 4.3 (12.1.A.1.201 )

I recently found that the default movie player supports subtitiles, but I don't know which format it supports.

Please provide some info about this.

And after updating from 4.1.2 to 4.3 the Bravia Engine has no effect.

I think Bravia Engine stopped working, no optimization in video even after turning it on, previously it worked well.

Can't say what format it supports but I use MX Player which supports

- DVD, DVB, SSA/A$S Subtitle tracks.
- SubStation Alpha(.ssa/.a$s) with full styling.
- SAMI(.smi) with ruby tag support.
- SubRip(.srt)
- MicroDVD(.sub/.txt)
- SubViewer2.0(.sub)
- MPL2(.mpl/.txt)
- PowerDivX(.psb/.txt)
- TMPlayer(.txt)
