storage problem

I have Sony Xperia M Dual. I have transferred all my media files to my external sd card but when I check storage in settings.. It is still occupying internal memory..

Don't know why this is happening.
Apart from this I read that due to security issues Google had discontinued apps to sd feature, but why it is still there in xperia c??

Please help on above two queries..

You cannot move apps to the SD card unless you root your phone, partition your SD card and use an apps2sd app

settings > apps > all > look for the apps > clear data/cache and check again
